WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT...

Scripture

We believe the Bible to be true in every way and to be the one true guide for our lives.

References: John 8:31-32; Proverbs 30:5

The Triune God

We believe in the Trinity -- that there is one God, who has revealed Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

References: Isaiah 43:10-11; Romans 1:7; Hebrews 1:8; Acts 5:3-4

Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ is God and that He became a man.  We believe He lived a sinless human life and then died for our sins.  We believe He came alive again after His death and is now in Heaven.  We believe He will one day return to this earth in power and glory.

References: Philippians 2:5-11; Luke 24: 5-7; Acts 1:10-11

Salvation

We believe each human being must receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Christ in order to live forever in heaven with God, after he or she dies.  God gives eternal life to those who confess their sins, are willing to turn away from them, and completely trust in Jesus to save them from sin’s punishment through His shed blood on the cross.

References: John 3: 16 & 36; Romans 10: 9-10; Ephesians 1:7

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit Who shows us when we sin, helps us to turn from sin to godly living, and empowers us for Christian service.

References: John 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

The Church

We believe the Church was created by Jesus and that He is its Leader.

References: Colossians 1:15-20; Matthew 16:18

Eternity

We believe one day all people will spend eternity in either Heaven or hell.

References: Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:10-15

Communion

We believe that the Lord's Supper is an ordinance of the Lord in which gathered believers eat bread, signifying Christ's body given for His people, and drink the cup of the Lord, signifying the New Covenant in Christ's blood..

References: Luke 22:14-20; I Corinthians 11:23-26
